short ghost stories
Creating a scary effect with words can be rather challenging. There are many writers around the world, who attempt to write ghost stories, but are not as spooky as they should be. Some tend to be rather comical instead of scaring the reader or the one who listens to the narrative. Yet, the fact is that there is an ever-increasing demand for short ghost stories. And the supply of successfully written stories about ghosts does not really match up to the demands.
Given here are certain pointers to be kept in mind when writing a thrilling short story about ghosts:
The use of describing words
Use of dark and somber colors
Use of sounds that send a shiver up the spine
Use of words that create the feelings of something eerie happening
There should be suspense surrounding the entire narrative
Exaggeration should be used to describe the situation and characters
There should be strong opening and clearing closing
There should be a feeling of mystery in the tale
